Wellesley Bakery: UMass Boston Alum Phoumara Nuon Celebrates 30 Years

Wellesley Bakery, owned by UMass Boston alumnus and donor to the Asian American Studies Program Phoumara Nuon, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary!

Located on Washington Street in Wellesley Square, the bakery opened in 1994 while Nuon was working as a chemical engineer thanks to a chemistry degree from UMB. Nuon eventually quit chemistry to run the bakery full-time, and multiple family members work alongside him in the 12-seat café.
